Pumpkin Bread

3 cups sugar
1 cup oil
2 cups canned pumpkin
2/3 cup water
3 1/3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice (ground)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
4 eggs
1 cup chopped walnuts

  1. Mix first 10 ingredients together; stir in beaten eggs; add walnuts.
  2. Pour into 4 greased 1-pound coffee cans (or loaf pans).
  3. Fill containers half full. Do not flour cans.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until done.
